"Miso is fermented soyabean, which makes it a probiotic ingredient. Probiotic foods may support and maintain a gut filled with healthy bacteria. When a probiotic is paired with other ingredients that are high in fibre [prebiotic], such as the wakame in this soup, they work together to promote good gut health. Tofu is a great plant-protein and fibre source that contains a phytonutrient [isoflavone] which studies have found have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties."
